In the third quarter of 2025, the News & Magazines category on the Android platform in Sweden showcased varied performance among its top applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced distinct trends in downloads and active user engagement.

Sveriges Radio maintained a stable presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 5.6K at the quarter's start. Despite a gradual decline, downloads remained above 3K towards the end of the quarter. The app observed a decrease in weekly active users from approximately 315K to 248K.

X from X Corp. saw a notable rise in weekly revenue, reaching a peak of about $5.6K in early August. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 3.7K in September. Active users showed resilience, climbing to nearly 198K mid-quarter before settling at around 180K.

Expressen Nyheter experienced significant fluctuations in revenue, starting at $2.2K and peaking at $7.7K in mid-September. Downloads were relatively low, keeping under 2K, while active users hovered around 60K, showcasing a consistent user base.

Upday | Local & World News had a challenging quarter with downloads dropping sharply from 4.6K to under 20. However, active users remained stable, ending the quarter at about 7K.

Finally, Dagens Nyheter witnessed steady weekly downloads, averaging around 500. Active users increased from approximately 39K to 44K mid-quarter, indicating growing engagement.
